This Giving Tuesday, we are asking for your help!
This year, we made great strides fighting for women and species in high-biodiversity areas around the globe. But, we are not finished — we seek to multiply our impact, benefitting as many women and as much biodiversity as we can. Here are four projects that you can help us achieve:
Women in Science & Research Grants
Need: $10,000
Our Women in Science & Research grants provide support for young women scientists pursuing vital conservation research projects. Next year, we are expanding this project internationally: That’s why we are asking for $10,000 to support 5 young scientists. Women are severely underrepresented in conservation, yet when women lead conservation projects it is proven that they are more effective and more beneficial for the entire community. These grants aim to address a gap in funding for young women scientists, covering costs such as travel, equipment, and lodging and allowing them to focus on their work.

Family Planning, Reproductive Healthcare in the Outskirts of High Biodiversity Areas
Need: $10,000
Access to family planning for young women and men = a life full of fulfilled opportunities and control over finances and futures. We have provided over 3,000 services to communities living in high biodiversity areas — help us reach more families! Our goal is to raise $10,000 to continue this work. Your donations change people’s lives.

Replanting Critically Endangered Magnolia Trees
Need: $10,000
We have a goal: replant 16,000 endangered Colombian Magnolia trees in a forest that is threatened by logging, development, and agriculture, and empower rural women while we’re doing it. We are training rural women to be guardians of the forest — they collect and nurture young trees then replant them, fulfilling our vision of a vibrant, biodiverse forest that supports endemic fauna. A symbiotic relationship is forming: rural women strengthen their livelihoods by becoming forest guards, and the forest becomes more abundant and biodiverse through their care. We still need $10,000 to support this vision as the project continues to unfold over the next two years.

Support First Network of Women Amphibian Monitors
Need: $10,000
This year we founded the first network of Women Amphibian Monitors in Colombia. Rural women are using citizen science tools, like iNaturalist, to research declining amphibian populations in remote and high-biodiversity areas that scientists struggle to access. We then collaborate with the local environmental council to come up with solutions that prioritize the needs of the community, ensuring that they are as effective and equitable as possible. We are asking for your help to raise $10,000 for this project – your donations support sustainable livelihoods for local women and address declining amphibian populations.

These services, including implants, medical procedures, and the logistics needed to reach the territory, were fully covered by Women for Conservation, thanks to the support of donors and people who make it possible for these events to reach those who need them most.
