In South Africa, our partners at HERD elephant sanctuary have been busy! Over the past few months, the region has been dealing with the aftermath of devastating floods caused by unprecedented rains.
The flooding caused widespread damage across the country, and the HERD sanctuary was no exception.
After making sure the community and elephants were safe, the fearless ladies participating in HERD’s JabuLadies sustainable livelihoods program got to work repairing the grounds and replanting damaged fields of grass for the elephants.
We are incredibly proud to be supporting the JabuLadies’ story as they integrate care for the earth and care for themselves & their families.
