As part of Earth Day 2025, our Founder and Executive Director, Sara Lara, will participate as a panelist in the roundtable organized by Population Connection, an official virtual side event at the 58th session of the United Nations Commission on Population and Development (CPD58). During this 90-minute session, conservation experts, dedicated storytellers, and advocates for population stabilization will explore the evolution of family planning and its role in building healthier, more resilient, and sustainable communities.
A Comprehensive Approach to Sustainable Development
Health and reproductive rights, along with bodily autonomy, are essential to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being). During the panel, speakers will share insights on how their organizations work to remove barriers to family planning and empower women and girls. These efforts not only strengthen communities but also contribute to ecosystem conservation and climate change mitigation by promoting sustainable population growth.
